Camporee Cookbook

What subject is always closest to a Scout’s Heart? Food, of course. 

Your Scouts can improve their cooking with a Camporee Cookbook. Each patrol will get a printed copy at the Camporee in April 2025, but you can download a draft copy now to print and use.

Instructions:

• Download the Cookbook here in PDF Format

• Print the Cookbook

  • If your printer is able to automatically print two-sided (a/k/a "duplex"), set the printer to "landscape mode" and "flip on short side"

  • Most printer drivers allow for manual two-sided printing on non-duplex printers.

    • If yours does, select "manual two-sided printing" (or whatever the equivalent is) and "flip on short edge".

    • The printer will print one side of the booklet.

    • Flip the pages on the short end (in other words, keep the same edge to the right side) and feed them back into the printer's paper tray.

    • Click on the prompt to print the other side.

    • Note: you may have to experiment with this - some printers require you to feed the printed pages face down, others face up.

  • If your printer can't print two-sided even manually, then:

    • Select "print odd-numbered pages only" and print half the pages

    • Flip the paper and feed the paper back in as above .

    • Select "print even-numbered pages only" to print the other sides of the pages.
